The British rocker reflects on his first-ever Grammy nominations, his collaboration with Aerosmith, and the "concerns" that forced him to cancel the rest of his 2025 tour.
It has been a year of extreme highs and lows for Yungblud . Just as the Recording Academy announced his first-ever Grammy nominations, the singer revealed he has been forced to cancel all remaining 2025 tour dates on doctor's orders.
In a candid new interview, the Doncaster native described the Grammy recognition as a massive "honour," but admitted the specific context of the nomination feels "tragic."
Yungblud received three nominations: Best Rock Album for his chart-topping LP "Idols", Best Rock Song for the hit single "Zombie", and Best Rock Performance.
The "tragic" feeling stems from the Performance category, where he is nominated for his live rendition of "Changes". This specific performance took place at Black Sabbath's final show, 'Back To The Beginning', in July 2025.
"I don’t know how I feel about it," he admitted on the Q Podcast. "As a singer, to be Grammy nominated for a live performance where you can’t go into a studio and overdub it or make it perfect... it’s a moment that’s gone and you can’t share it with the person you were singing it to."

The news comes alongside a difficult announcement regarding his health. Yungblud confirmed that "voice and blood tests raised some concerns," forcing him to scrap his live schedule for the remainder of the year.
"We’re booking dates until 2028 now and I’ve got to make another album in the middle of it," he explained regarding the break. "I want to do it justice... I’m not going to feel anything at all if you don’t process things, you become numb."
He emphasized his desire to be "present and thankful" to his community, promising to return stronger for his massive arena run in the UK, Ireland, and Australia starting in January 2026.
The "Idols" Era & Aerosmith Collab
2025 will still be remembered as a creative peak for the artist. His album "Idols" hit Number One in the UK, split into two distinct chapters. "Part one is about the reclamation of yourself," he told reporters earlier this year. "Part two is the dark and downward spiral... Mortality. It plummets you back down to earth."
He capped off the year with a legendary collaboration, releasing the EP "One More Time" with hard rock icons Aerosmith. Their joint single, "My Only Angel", marked the band's first original release in over a decade, following their emotional tribute to Ozzy Osbourne at the MTV VMAs.Read the full lyrics to Yungblud’s Grammy-nominated hits exclusively on LyricsWeb.
